I have been working with JoAnn Townsend of JMT Billing Services for three years.  I can honestly say that without her friendly and efficient services and professional billing expertise, I would not have the thriving practice that I have today.  When I first started in private practice I had no idea what it took to deal with insurance companies.  I felt that, at the very least, I would have to take a course to familiarize myself with all the processing and paperwork necessary to communicate with and get payments from these huge and often impersonal companies.  I was concerned that this would take away from time spent with clients doing the type of work I like to do. 

After some unsettling experiences, JoAnn came on board and straightened out my credentialing, National Provider Identifications, electronic transfers and tax identifications.  She also and prepared other numerous forms and patiently made phone calls to Medicare and other companies to make sure our billing went as smoothly and quickly as possible.  When my office address changed and when I became an LLC, I was very unaware of all the paperwork and signatures required to change provider and tax numbers. JoAnn was right there to wade through all the red tape and frustrating hoops insurance companies require.  On top of this, JoAnn makes monthly visits to my office to assess the billing process.  Her personal style, genuine concern for her clients and her quick and efficient turn around time on billing have made me think of her more as an office manager rather than just an impersonal biller.
